The power washer will quickly remove debris, stains, and dirt. Difficult stains might require a cleaning solution to eliminate the stain altogether. After the pavers or travertine are clean, a mold inhibitor can be used to get rid of mold spores or roots that could be growing on, between, or underneath the material. About 15 minutes after applying the inhibitor solution, it’s time to add sand. The sand used is silica-based and fine, which allows it to fill in between the pavers. Adding a bit of water allows the sand to slip into place. Lastly, it’s time to add the sealant. Sealing the pavers after cleaning helps prevent eroding over time. The sealant comes in a variety of finishes, from natural shine to satin.
