You need to first prep your floor with a grinder or Diamabrush, which you need to rent. Many are able to be hooked up to a vacuum.
If your concrete floor needs repairs, it needs to be done now. When the repairs dry, then grind the floor smooth. The floor then needs cleaning.
Be sure to prime your floor. This is what an epoxy floor coating service does in order to keep the epoxy from peeling. This needs to be applied like paint. You may need to use a paintbrush to get into the corners, but you can use an 18-inch roller for the main part of the floor.
When the primer dries, it’s ready for the epoxy. It comes in two parts that need to be mixed. Let it sit for 30 minutes and dump it on the floor to spread out. Epoxy dries in about two and a half hours, so you need to work fast. Let this dry overnight, then put down a second layer of epoxy. After that, it needs a topcoat.
